Welcome and IntroductionLike our
previous series, these sermons come from Chichester Baptist Church. They are right up to date. Although
Ezekiel lived six hundred years before Christ, there are a lot of parallels
between the situation he faced then and our own day. This six week series will give us much to think
about as we try to make sense of “where is God in all the events around the
world that fill our television news and our social media?” The
service this week is a communion
service so if you would like to join with them in this, take a minute or
two now to organise some bread and wine or juice. |

Song: Abide With Me In this
series I have tried to use the same hymns that were used in Chichester before
and after the message. This is their
choice of song that led into the message.
Although it has the title ‘Abide with me’ it is not the hymn that you
will be thinking of! Click here to watch
the video. |

Bible Passage
and the Message: The Presence God Establishes This message
is the last in our series in Ezekiel and is from the 23rd of
February. Following the song we have
just listened to, the video starts with Ellen, who introduces Dawn who reads from
Ezekiel chapter 47, starting at verse 1.
If you have a Bible or Bible app to hand, please find this passage
when you start the video. This week
Andy Morgan brings the
message. Click the
filmstrip icon below to start
watching the YouTube video. It should start automatically at about 39
minutes into the complete service.
You can,
of course, continue watching through the song and participate in their
communion. Otherwise, I suggest that
you stop the video when Andy finishes
speaking and the band returns to the stage.
We will watch a video of the song that they sang to close. Click
here to watch the video.

Song: King of Kings This is
the hymn that they sang to prepare for the Lord’s Supper. Click here to watch

Our Own Prayers As you watched the message today was there a moment when
you sensed the Holy Spirit
speaking directly to you? Then tell
Jesus about it. Or maybe you simply
had a ‘lightbulb’ moment which you would like to thank God for. Spend a few moments to thank God for all his goodness to you
in the last week. Spend a few minutes in confession. Take a few minutes to pray for others who you feel burdened for.
If you have received the Church Email, it will give you some
suggestions. Now spend a few moments praying for
the fellowship of the church to which we belong and its witness to friends, family, neighbours, the young and the old,
and to the wider world. Please pray for our “Film Nights at ABC” which started three
weeks ago. During February and March
we will show every episode from Series One of “The Chosen”. Pray that
the Holy Spirit will prompt many people to come and watch. The portrayal of Jesus is so powerful that
it is almost impossible not to be affected. |
